“This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” - Ezekiel 37:4-6
Nothing in this world can satisfy our deepest desires like the love of the Living God. If we watch what we eat and exercise solely to lose weight, to reach a certain clothing size, or to alter our appearance, then we will inevitably become discontent. Our appearances and the approval of others simply cannot fill the voids in our hearts; only the Holy Spirit and the Lord’s unconditional love can gratify those deep longings.
Instead of working out to reach physical goals alone, set out to make exercise an activity through which you worship God. Invite His Spirit to move in your heart and your body. Continuously pray that He would use your workouts as a way to draw you closer to Him and equip you to step into the future that He has planned for you.
Before and during your workout, ask God to awaken your spirit. Pray that He would enliven you with a fresh breath of life and a renewed perspective to face the rest of the week.
Featuring several compound exercises that simultaneously work your upper and lower body, this workout boosts your heart rate, challenges your balancing skills, and involves resistance movements for all major muscle groups. Plus, by performing additional triceps extensions and bicep curls until your muscles feel fatigued, you will be sure to get the most out of these two toning moves.
After warming up with 5-10 minutes of light to moderate cardio (such as the elliptical or jogging on the treadmill), complete the following workout. After three rounds of the circuit, finish up with another 10-15 minutes of moderate cardio for a workout that lasts about an hour!
